To provide all residents of the school district with a clear understanding of their options to vote, the following information is being provided.
On Election Day, May 9th, 2023, there is only one polling place for all residents of the Murray County Central School District during this special election. This will be held at Slayton Senior Center, 2451 Broadway Avenue in Slayton between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. All voters must be a resident of Independent School District #2169.
Absentee voting is available and no excuse is required.
Prior to May 9, you can vote either in person at the Murray County Central District Office, 2420 28th Street, Slayton, or by mail. To vote Absentee, fill out the form to request an absentee ballot. You can return your completed request through mail or in person at the District Office. Forms are also available to complete in the District Office. You may vote on-site, or have the ballot mailed directly to you.
The last day to request an absentee ballot is 1 day before the election. Voted ballots must be received by Election Day in order to be counted. You can sign up to track your absentee ballot on your Secretary of State website. Absentee ballots begin being counted on Election Day.
