I hope this message finds you well and that your family is off to a fantastic start this school year. We are excited to share some wonderful new initiatives we're rolling out this year that will enrich our students' learning experience and support their social and emotional growth.
Introducing Quaver Ready: SEL in Music Class (K-4): We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program, Quaver Ready, for students in Kindergarten through 4th grade. This innovative program is designed to be integrated seamlessly into our music classes, providing students with the tools to understand and manage their emotions, establish positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. By teaching SEL concepts through music, we can engage students in a unique and meaningful way, making learning both fun and impactful.
Quaver Ready aligns with our commitment to nurturing the whole child and complements the ongoing SEL activities in your child's classroom. We believe that by integrating SEL into different areas of the curriculum, we can offer a more comprehensive approach to our students' development.
Launching Lead Em Up: Leadership in Physical Education (5-6) In addition to our focus on SEL for our younger students, we are excited to introduce Lead Em Up, a leadership development program for our 5th and 6th graders. This program will be taught as part of our physical education curriculum and is designed to empower our students to become confident, responsible, and effective leaders.
Lead Em Up emphasizes skills such as teamwork, communication, and decision-making, which are critical not only in sports but in all areas of life. By integrating leadership training into physical education, we are ensuring that our students are not only physically active but also developing the soft skills that will serve them well throughout their lives.
Supporting Our Teachers: These new programs are a wonderful addition to the incredible work our teachers are already doing in their classrooms regarding social and emotional learning. Our educators are dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive. Quaver Ready and Lead Em Up will further enhance this environment, providing additional opportunities for our students to grow and succeed.
We are confident that these programs will have a positive impact on our students, and we look forward to seeing them flourish as they learn and develop both academically and personally.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to provide the best possible education for our students.
