Join us on December 19 from 7:00-8:00 pm in the High School Auditorium for the Children’s Theatre interest meeting. This program, focuses on the skills of theatre. This year we will emphasize stagecraft, building props, making costumes, and how to move sets during performances. This year's play will be an adventure, giving students a chance to learn staged sword fighting and even letting them build a monster. The registration fee is $45 and includes snacks at each rehearsal and a cast t-shirt. Each student will rehearse in small groups either Monday OR Tuesday and Thursday in a large group. There will be some Saturday rehearsals so students can wear old clothes and have fun building and painting. Performance dates will be March 6 and 7.

We recently received our ACT scores for the graduating class of 2019, and I am pleased to report that the composite score of all assessed areas was 23.2. This year's score was the highest recorded score on file at Murray County Central going back 20 years. While this in and of itself is an accomplishment to celebrate, it is really a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, and families working alongside their children to reinforce the great education student are receiving here at MCC.

Today is the last day to vote absentee at the District Office from 8:00-4:00. Voting for the Operating Referendum renewal tomorrow will be at the Senior Center 8 am to 8 pm.
